Options Meerkat vs Market Chameleon
Market Chameleon is a research site of reports and screeners: IV rankings, earnings moves, unusual volume, dividends, and much more across stocks and options. Options Meerkat is an AI research assistant: ask about a stock's options and it reads the chains, the IV history, the flow, and the backtests to answer, with the chart beside it. Its quotes are delayed 15 minutes; Meerkat's are real-time on Pro. They differ most in how you get to the answer.

Where Meerkat differs
What it does that Market Chameleon does not set out to
- It answers instead of listing. Market Chameleon has a report for nearly everything; the work is knowing which to open and putting them together. Ask Meerkat whether a stock's IV is high for it and why, and it reads the percentile, the skew, the term structure, and the calendar, and says so in a paragraph with the chart. The high IV percentile case follows one.
- It tests the strategies people sell premium with. Backtests on Pro run the wheel, cash-secured puts, covered calls, spreads, and condors, session by session over a year of daily option closes, against buy and hold. The wheel case is one.
- It reads earnings with the rest. Before a report, Meerkat puts the expected move beside the IV's history and what it did after the last reports. The earnings case follows one through the IV crush.
Where Market Chameleon is ahead
What Meerkat does not do
Market Chameleon covers far more ground: stocks, dividends, auctions, news, and a screener for nearly every strategy, with years of earnings history behind its reports. Options Meerkat covers options on the S&P 500 and the Nasdaq-100 and has no alerts of its own yet. Meerkat is for the trader who would rather ask than browse, and wants the strategy tested before the trade.
