Options Meerkat (optchain) is a terminal program. This page says what is kept about you when you use this website, sign up for the shared server at api.optionsmeerkat.com, and use it. If you run your own server, none of it reaches us.

This website

Signing up

You sign in with GitHub, with Google, or with a code mailed to your address. Each only shows which email address is yours:

Nothing else is read from GitHub or Google: not your name, picture, repositories, or contacts. The access they give is used once, to learn the address, and not kept. While you sign in, your browser keeps the address for 30 minutes in a cookie on api.optionsmeerkat.com, so you need not sign in twice.

What the server keeps

The server's data is backed up daily to storage at Cloudflare; daily copies are deleted after 8 days and weekly ones after 29.

What we do not do

Leaving

optchain logout revokes the token of the machine it runs on. To have every token revoked and your address removed from the server, write to optionsmeerkat@gmail.com (or @OptionsMeerkat on X), and it is done by hand.
