Acceptable Use Policy

This policy sets out what Options Meerkat and Meerkat, its AI assistant, may and may not be
used for. It is part of the Terms of Service, and applies to everyone who
uses the website, the dashboard, the program, the shared server at
api.optionsmeerkat.com, or Meerkat, signed in or not, on the free plan or Pro.
Options Meerkat is operated by Yangyi Yi, an individual based in China.
What Meerkat is for
Meerkat answers questions about US equity and index options and the market data the service holds: implied volatility, earnings moves, option flow, dealer gamma, strategies and their profit and loss, and backtests. Use it for that research. It may decline a request outside that purpose or against this policy.
Prohibited content
Do not use Meerkat, or any part of the service, to request, create, or share:
- Sexual or NSFW content of any kind: sexually explicit or pornographic material, erotic or sexual role-play, nudity, sexual services, or content that sexualizes anyone. Any content that sexualizes minors is strictly forbidden and may be reported to the authorities.
- Hateful or harassing content: content that attacks, demeans, threatens, or harasses people for who they are, or targets any individual.
- Violent content: threats, incitement or glorification of violence, or instructions for weapons or for harming people or property.
- Content that promotes or instructs self-harm, suicide, or eating disorders.
- Content that is illegal where you or we are, or that infringes anyone's intellectual property, privacy, or other rights.
- Personal data about other people that you have no right to use.
Prohibited activities
Do not use Meerkat, or any part of the service, to:
- manipulate markets or plan it: spoofing, layering, wash trading, pump-and-dump schemes, or spreading false or misleading information about a security;
- trade on, or seek, material non-public information;
- commit or plan fraud, scams, phishing, impersonation, or money laundering;
- present Meerkat's answers to other people as personalized investment advice, or provide regulated financial services you are not authorized to provide;
- create malware, break into systems, or find and exploit weaknesses in this service or anyone else's;
- get around Meerkat's safeguards or instructions (for example with prompt injection or "jailbreak" prompts), or around quotas, sign-in, or Pro features;
- scrape, bulk-download, resell, or redistribute the service's data or Meerkat's answers, or build a competing service on them;
- send spam, or automate requests beyond normal use of the program and the dashboard;
- break the usage policies of the AI model providers whose models answer the questions.
Answers are not advice
Meerkat's answers are general information written by a language model, and can be wrong. They are not investment advice; see the Terms of Service.
Enforcement
A request against this policy may be refused. We may limit, suspend, or end the account of anyone who breaks it, without refund where the breach is serious, and report illegal activity to the authorities.
